A rough start

I grew up from modest means in a small town, but realized early the world was bigger than what I could see from where I was standing. A tinkerer & an adventurer from a young age, if I wasn’t out in the wilderness somewhere, I was taking something apart & putting it back together. After experiencing 9/11, relocation from my birthplace, & loss of my father all in high school, I decided a standard office or trade job was not what I wanted to pursue upon graduation.

Question 1 - Where were you born?
Sean - "I was born in Memphis, TN."

Question 2 - What school(s) did you attend?
Sean - "I attended the University of Oregon, for a Bachelor degree in Architecture."

Question 3 - What did you do after graduating?
Sean - "I began working for Woobies and started building up my design portfolio."

Question 4 - What was your first job?
Sean - "The first official paid job that wasn’t from friends or family was as a ranch hand for some old dude that bred Rottweilers, I found the job posting who knows where. Fresh out of high school, quite literally shoveling sh*t for $5 an hour. I didn’t stay there long."

Question 5 - What do you like to do in your free time?
Sean - "Cash me outside, rockin’ a low-reg. You’ll probably find me on the mountain trails, exploring somewhere new. I might also be hitting the bags, pinging steel, or tinkering with some new project. I like studying history, philosophy, & checking out new music. I try to share as much of that as I can with my kids."

Question 6 - Explain your involvement with Woobies?
Sean - "I handle product development. Basically, I take the early concepts for new gear, & help refine that into the cool, practical, and rugged products that make it out into the wild."

Question 7 - Describe Woobies in 3 words.
Sean - "F*cking, great, company."

Question 8 - What has been your favorite project at Woobies?
Sean - "Probably the new sole design. It’s inspiration is steeped in the hallowed halls of Fort Bragg, it was a lot of fun working with the guyson this cool new personal touch. But don’t tell Tony I told you guys, it’s still a secret…"

Question 9 - What are your goals and aspirations?
Sean - "To build a legacy that my grandkids can be proud of."

Question 10 - Is there anything else you would like to say to our veteran community and customers?
Sean - "To the other Vets out there: life doesn’t stop at EAS. Get back up, do the hard work of looking in the mirror, & don’t let stormy seas keep you from your destination. Suffer the pain of strivation, or suffer the pain of starvation. Don’t let anyone who hasn’t been there tell you you can’t go there. Try to leave whatever you touch better than you found it.

Your experience, knowledge, & time are the most valuable things you have; everything else you could lose in a house fire. In 5 years, you could be gazing upon the fruits of your labor, or a big steaming pile of regret. Do the things that, long ago, some dipsh*t bureaucrat with a high & tight told you you couldn’t, because you don’t know how many heartbeats you have left. And also because, f*ck that guy.

To our customers: THANK YOU & stay tuned for more dope sh*t. Keep living your best life, & sharing your best Woobie moments!"
