Nick Warren

Nick is Woobies fearless Director of Media who lives a full throttle lifestyle throughout his work and excessive amount of hobbies. He got his start in film and television after meeting a pair of filmmakers while surfing a river wave in Northern California. Having no formal education, Nick has worked his way up the ladder to work with clients like Toyota, Hulu, and Top Gear.

Outside of the studio, Nick puts himself in wild environments, finding new stories to tell. At any given moment, you may find him chasing waves with friends in the Pacific Northwest or mountaineering in the Eastern Sierras.

The Interview

Question 1- Where were you born?
Nick - I was born in Placerville, California.

Question 2 - What school(s) did you attend?
Nick - I attended and graduated from El Dorado High School in 2012.

Question 3 - What did you do after graduating?
Nick - I mainly surfed, took many photos of my friends, partied, read a ton of books, and cleaned pools.

Question 4 - What was your first job ever?
Nick - My first ever job was at In-N-Out Burger.

Question 5 - What is your involvement with Woobies?
Nick - As the the director of media, I oversee and produce Woobies photo and video campaigns. I've always been an adventurous, creative, and energetic person who has a deep passion for story telling and I want to bring that energy to my shoots at all times. When you think of Woobies, I want the image of adventurous, extreme, and exciting to pop out in your mind.

Question 6 - What do you like to do in your free time?
Nick - To get out of my comfort zone as much as possible. Go outdoors -- I love hiking through remote regions of the world or camping out on the beach during sunset watching for shooting stars. I also like surfing, taking photos that capture life’s beauty, cooking up new recipes from around the world, traveling to new places every chance I get. Just living the full throttle lifestyle.

Question 7 - What has been your favorite project at Woobies?
Nick - We just completed the Tim Kennedy campaign, and it has to be the most exciting and demanding project I’ve worked on to date. I cannot wait to share!

Question 8 - Describe Woobies in 3 words.
Nick - An unstoppable force.

Question 9 - What are your goals and aspirations?
Nick - My current goal is to build the strongest Media Production service as possible for Woobies. When you think of Woobies, I want ultimate adventure, excitement, and fun to stick out at you. My personal goal is to travel and discover the hidden gems of the world and record all of it. I want my videos to be one big storyboard of a life lived at full throttle. When I could show someone my collection of travel videos and tell the story of what happened, that is living the dream.

Nick - "Do the things you fear, and the death of fear is certain."
